My new shirt

This is the sad story of my new shirt. I found it on clearance at Old Navy for $3. It's super cute and exactly what I was looking for. So last Thursday I donned my new shirt. It was a special day, Z had taken a couple days off and we were heading to my parent's house to visit with my brother and his family, in town from UT. C decided to make Grandma a picture using a pen. He got a bit too much pen on his hand which he proceeded to wipe on my new shirt. Luckily some hairspray took the ink out.

We had a wonderful 4 days with my family. We took the kids to the zoo, visited some of our old stomping grounds, had lunch with some old friends, and played with cousins. And although it was a great visit, we were all looking forward to going home to our normal routine. It's hard to be off schedule. Z and I shared a room with both kids. C slept on the top bunk, Z on the bottom. L was in a pack and play at the end of the bed. I got the floor. Let's just say that by Sunday we were all a little tried and grumpy.

After church we headed to Z's mom's house for a quick visit with the intention of visiting Great Grandpa for dinner then heading home. But, once we got to Z's mom's we decided that we were too tired for a 2 hr drive home. So, we had dinner with Gramps then back to Gramma B's to stay the night. We were more spread out and slept much better.

Monday morning I put on my new shirt since it had been cleaned. Z wanted to take L swimming at the pool by his mom's. While we were getting ready to leave L fell off the stairs and hit her head. She screamed for 15 minutes straight before barfing all over the front of her white shirt and all down the front of me... and my new shirt. I had only worn it for about 30 minutes.

So, after a good hosing we headed to the pool where Z jumped in, forgetting that his phone was in his pocket. Awesome. $100 later and Z has a new fancier phone, one that isn't water logged.

We got stuck in traffic near Seattle on our way home which added an extra hour onto our trip.

Let's just say that we are happy to be home.

Yeah, we missed you on Sunday. Sorry about the shirt. We just found one for Robert for $2 at Target and after one washing found that it got stuck in the dryer and has a hole. I hate it when that happens... anyway.. once you're all rested up we want to come play!

Sorry! It is really unfortunate.

I got a shirt at Value Village for $7. Wore it a few times and yesterday I got it out of the dryer-- and there was a NEW stain-- like some jeans had bled onto the shirt....right on the right chest spot. Lame-o! I hear ya.

Funny story -- for me. For a while I thought I could wear semi-decent clothes again since I am not breast-feeding or being spit up on constantly. Talk about naive.
