Today I went to my friend's house to babysit while she went to work. Her daughter was already down for a nap when we got there and I planned to put Cole down shortly thereafter. Well, it turned out that neither kid napped. They played really well together and we all had a great afternoon.
With no nap, it wasn't a suprise when Cole had a meltdown around 5:45. Then we started dinner and he was fine. As dinner was winding up I was giving Zack a demonstration of a bad dancing audition from "So You Think You Can Dance" (I gave it justice too.... I'm not a dancer and neither was the person I was imitating) Anyway, I sat down at my chair and looked over at Cole. He was struggling to keep his eyes open. Zack stroked his hair for about 30 seconds and poor Cole was dead asleep in his highchair. Cole is a routine baby. We have a whole procedure that we have to go through to get him to sleep. To have him fall asleep during dinner was quite a shock. So he went to bed tonight at 6:30 without a nap, his milk, or clothes.
Here's to waking up at the crack of dawn!

I hope your morning wasn't too early today! Sorry about the no nap for either of them. Sophie struggled through dinner herself, but she made it. Thanks again for watching her!

Good news. Cole slept until 7am. And we had a good time playing without any incident... although Sophie did try to feel Cole green beans which he spit out. Other than that it was a breeze. It's so nice to have the kids play together so that I can take a break!
